TSAN TO END DRUG ABUSE WITH SCOUT PARADE, AWARD IN NIGERIA

Determined to put an end to drug abuse and youths restiveness in Nigeria, the Scout Association of Nigeria will be organizing the Nigeria scout parade and president’s Award NISPPA- from January 30- February 1 20223 .
Speaking with newsmen in Abuja, today at the NUJ -house, the chief scout commissioner of Nigeria, Hon. David Awuna disclosed that the scout organization in Nigeria is committed to bringing to fruiton programs that will engage young people to the greater advantage of Nigeria.
Hon. Awuna reiterated that the Scout Association of Nigeria, TSAN will commence programs and projects with campaigns around the nooks and crannies of the country, recruiting the youngsters and grooming them to learn about the dangers of drug abuse and its negative effects on human capital development, the health of the nation at large as well as training them as peer influencers against drug abuse.
Dave Awuna further stated that the Scout Association of Nigeria, TSAN is also committed to the campaign against human organ harvesting, trafficking, prostitution and child abuse.
Earlier, Awuna said, the scout association will use the Nigeria scout parade and president’s Award NISPPA- from January 30- February 1 20223 to campaign against terrorism and insecurity, fraud and criminality.
He also said 3 million trees will be planted by the Scout Association of Nigeria, TSAN in April, 2003 as the implementation of the United Nations sustainable development goals under his watch as the Chief Commissioner of TSAN remains sacroscant.
