MUT ACCUSES POLITICAL CLASS OF HARDSHIP, CAUTIONS CBN, INSISTS ON CREDIBLE ELECTIONS

 The President General of Mdzough U Tiv, Abuja, Kubwa chapter, Joseph Mnyim has accused Nigeria’s political class for steering the nation into economic crisis as he called on the Central Bank to review its cash withdrawal policy. He stressed that only the delivery of good governance from credible candidates at the 2023 polls will mitigate the untold hardship which Nigerians experienced towards the end of year 2022.

Speaking with Kukuruku news reporter at the 2023 extra-ordinary ordinary session of the Mdzough U Tiv in Abuja, yesterday, Joseph Mnyim urged the executive and legislative arms of government to remain instrumental to the formulation of well-thought out economic recovery and developmental plans to put an end to the dire economic hardships of Nigerians.




The Tiv cultural leader lamented that the economic downturn in 2022 deeply affected the masses of Nigeria with cases in point such as the astronomical rise of the value of naira to the dollar at the forex market; the scarcity of petrol motor spirit, also known as fuel ; the resisted cash withdrawal policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria.

Earlier, Joseph Mnyim enjoined Benue indigenes to vote for candidates with credibility and jettison political parties that have failed to bring solutions to Nigeria’s problems in the 2023 elections.
