ONE DIES WITH GOVERNOR MAKINDE SURVIVING FATAL ACCIDENT

 Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State was reportedly involved in a fatal auto crash, killing one of his drivers while three others sustained various degrees of injury on his convoy.

Reports in the media have it that the accident occurred at the time the Governor was returning to Ibadan from Saki where he attended a town hall meeting with members of his party the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)  in a bid to firm up for his  re-election bid in the 2023 polls.

The driver, known as Ramon Mustapha,died on the spot after his vehicle code named 'Zebra 4' somersaulted several times and landed.

A survivor who was reportedly in the convoy informed the media that the driver hit his head during the accident resulting to his immediate death.

The driver's remains were buried according to Islamic rites at his residence in Amuloko, Ibadan on Wednesday.

As at press time attempts made to reach Taiwo Adisa, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Makinde for confirmation proved abortive.
