By Our Reporter

The Head Of the  Civil Service Of the Federation, Dr. FOLASADE YEMI-ESAN has  called for the  intervention of the Federal Capital Territory Administration, under the able leadership of the  Minister of FCT, Malam Muhammad  Bello, for the allocation of lands for the fishing Programme of the ministry.

Dr. YEMI-ESAN said the allocation will

give  civil servants more purchasing power as well as  reduce the cost of land.

She disclosed this during the ground -breaking Ceremony of the Federal  Integrated Staff Housing (FISH) programme in Abuja.

According to her, the programme is faced with some challenges such as the absence of an implementation framework of the FISH programme, including galvanizing support and facilitating infrastructure and funding for the delivery of affordable housing to civil servants.

Dr.YEMI-ESAN, while commending the minister said  she trust that in no distant time, sizeable choice of lands will be made available for the Programme .

Recall that the Federal Integrated Staff Housing (FISH) Programme was conceptualised as a vehicle to address the housing deficit civil servants were faced with consequent upon the implementation of the Monetization Policy which led to the sale of Federal Government-owned residential quarters across the country
