Buhari Leads Tinubu/Shettima Campaign In Bauchi Today

President Muhammadu Buhari,  today, lead's the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State to campaign for the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, and his running mate, Kashim Shettima.

According to the campaign programme released by the secretary of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), James Faleke,  the President will be at the rally  in Bauchi, thereafter proceed to Lagos same day for a two-day visit.

In Lagos, he will commission the Lekki Deep Sea Port, a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) venture, involving the Federal Government, Lagos State government and a private company, Tolaram.

Buhari will also commission the 32-metric tonne per hour Lagos Rice Mill, one of the largest in the world and the 18.75-kilometre six-lane rigid-pavement Eleko Junction to Epe Expressway. 

He is expected to commission the first phase of the iconic Blue Line on Tuesday, as well as the John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History.

Tinubu will be  taking  his campaign tour down to Abia State tomorrow and Ogun State on Wednesday.

It will be a busy week of electioneering, as the APC presidential candidate and his running mate will also canvass for votes in Benue and Taraba states on Thursday. While the Benue rally is billed for between 10a.m.  and 1.00p.m, Taraba’s will hold between 2.30p.m. and 4.30p.m.

The campaign train returns to Abuja on Friday for the launch, by Shettima, of the All Farmers Progressive Association and commissioning of tractors for members.

SIX STATES JOSTLE FOR NSF 2024 HOSTING RIGHT..

One Killed, Others Injured As Gunmen Attack INEC Office And Police Station In Anambra

  By Our Reporter    Gunmen early hours of Wednesday attacked the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, office in Ojoto, Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State. The gunmen also attacked the Nnobi Police Station and a residential building within the station, located  in the Council Area. Eyewitness account  that the gun men, while shooting sporadically killed a 16-year-old boy, a relative of a serving policeman in the station, while the another victim, a 15-year-old female, sustained a gunshot injury and has been taken to the hospital where she is receiving treatment. Confirming the incident, the Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, said security had been reinforced in the areas, just as the situation is still being monitored.
