SOLUDO SIGNS N260 BILLION APPROPRIATION BILL INTO LAW

 The Executive Governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo has signed into law the appropriation bill of 2023 fiscal year which is to the tune of two hundred and sixty billion naira.

 This is the first executive act of signing an annual fiscal year appropriation after his assumption of office as an executive governor.

 In his speech on Tuesday morning after the signing the appropriation bill into law,the governor appreciated the speaker of the state house of assembly, Rt. hon. Uche Okafor, majority leader, and the clerk of the state assembly. 

Present in the hallowed chamber as  at the time the signing were the Deputy Governor of Anambra State ,Onekachukwu Ibezim, Speaker Anambra State assembly; Uche Okafor, commissioner for budget and planning, Ms. Chiamaka Nnake, and the deputy majorityleader, Emeka Aforka.

 Soludo, painstakingly thanked the parliament after signing the bill into law and tagged the whole process a" production partnership as he said that, "this is a budget of acceleration inspite of all the odds and challenges but we are still wrestling the acceleration for takeoff. 

He thanked everyone was able to make that early to the state house and he specially thanked the lawmakers who worked till the early hours of today to endure that the signing was a success. "This budget  prioritizes major areas of focus for Anambra state, security, economic tranformation, law and order, economic tranformation and human capacity development, Soludo concluded.
