Scores Feared Dead As Suspected Herdsmen Attack Enugu Community

Several persons have been reportedly killed by suspected herdsmen in the Ebor, Eha-Amufu community of  Isi-Uzo Local Government Area of Enugu State. 

The invaders who outnumbered the soldiers and local vigilantes launched the attack early Sunday, killing several people

Although the police are yet to confirm the incident, this is not the first time such an attack is happening in the local government area of the South-Eastern state.

Last month, the herders’ invasion claimed over 10 lives including children in the area.

SIX STATES JOSTLE FOR NSF 2024 HOSTING RIGHT..

One Killed, Others Injured As Gunmen Attack INEC Office And Police Station In Anambra

  By Our Reporter    Gunmen early hours of Wednesday attacked the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, office in Ojoto, Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State. The gunmen also attacked the Nnobi Police Station and a residential building within the station, located  in the Council Area. Eyewitness account  that the gun men, while shooting sporadically killed a 16-year-old boy, a relative of a serving policeman in the station, while the another victim, a 15-year-old female, sustained a gunshot injury and has been taken to the hospital where she is receiving treatment. Confirming the incident, the Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, said security had been reinforced in the areas, just as the situation is still being monitored.
