NNPC REASSURES NIGERIANS IN THE MIDST OF FUEL SCARCITY

In the midst of the the growing fuel scarcity in the country, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPC Ltd has reassured Nigerians that  it has two billion litres of Premium Motor Spirit,PMS also known as petrol, in its reserve.

The Executive Vice President Downstream, NNPC Limited, Mr. Adeyemi Adetunji, in a statement to the media yesterday, noted that NNPC Ltd has enough fuel in stock to cater for motorists and car owners for more than 30 days.

Adetunji disclosed that officials are currently monitoring massive loading from the depot to various destinations to reduce the long queue adding that NNPC retail and key marketers had intensified dedicated loading into Abuja to restore normalcy.

He reassured Nigerians that NNPC has sufficient products, and it has increased product loading remarkably by extending work hours at strategic stations to ensure sufficiency nationwide. The NNPC is also working with industry stakeholders to ensure normalcy is returned as soon as possible, Adetunji maintained.
